January 23, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

Snow day! We knew it would come around! Today’s high is 38 with a 100{86a76636585b48f02440ccb40b57522402481bd6218148effe1f42093324df81} chance of snow. The forecast is calling for 3 to 5 inches, which would be absolutely wonderful.  This snow/cold front is going to great for getting back that packed powder and machine groomed packed powder surface! Got Snow!

January 9, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

Snow-we have plenty of it! Despite the lack of snow in other California regions, Big Bear has been fortunate with snowmaking and early season snowfalls providing snow depths of 1-3 feet, very good snow coverage and nearly 100{86a76636585b48f02440ccb40b57522402481bd6218148effe1f42093324df81} open runs – that’s almost 438 skiable acres! While the weather has been relatively mild at the valleys and beaches, we have been making snow the past couple of nights up here in Big Bear and the snow conditions are better than you might think.

The Best Snow Conditions are in Big Bear!

December 21, 2011 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

Happy first day of winter!  With all the snow we’ve gotten already, it’s hard to believe that winter is just starting, but we’re kicking it off with a 2-3 foot base , excellent coverage, and nearly every run open.   If you haven’t been up here to experience the best snow conditions around, now is the time.  We’re looking at nice weather and clear skies for the rest of the week, so make sure to ring in your holidays at Snow Summit!
