Our mountain is jam packed with an updated feature count of 140! With everything from hips, walls, quarterpipes, jibs, jumps, and some features so creative we aren’t even sure what category to put them in! But thanks to Dan the man from our loyal Park Staff, we do know that of our 140 features only 27 of them are for advanced or expert riders! This means we have 113 features made for starters, beginners, and intermediate riders! Also our new edit Sunday In the Park is out and well worth a quick watch to get yourself stoked for your next trip! Park Staff also built up Bottom Jump making it a sick 40 ft. gap from lip to knuckle! The Super-Pipe is next to open on our list and more park changes will be happening throughout the week! So get here to get down in a fun, innovative, progressive, park!! Today’s high is 52 degrees and is mostly sunny. There is snow in the forecast for tonight through tomorrow night

Snow Day!

Today is the perfect day to extend your weekend or winter vacation! We received 4″ of fresh snow last night and today’s surface ranges from machine groomed packed powder to POWDER.   We’ve also been making snow since early last night and expect to keep the guns all all day, weather permitting. Snow showers are expected to taper off today and leave behind mostly sunny skies and a high of 39 degrees

Goodbye, 2012. Hello, 2013! We can’t think of a better way to close out another great year than by spending the day at Snow Summit. We received 1-3 inches of fresh snow yesterday and today’s forecast is nothin’ but sun! All three roads are Open to Big Bear! At this time there are chain requirements on Highway 330, 38 and 18 however we do expect restrictions to be lifted later this morning. Today there is a slight chance of snowfall in the morning then clearing up to be partly sunny with a high of 30

Chair 6 opens today accessing SoCal’s favorite black diamond runs The Wall and Olympic! Tommi’s, Jo’s and Sideshow are now open off of Chair 10 where you can find shorter lift lines.

Christmas at Bear

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, our park staff and snowmakers have delivered the goods.  So hold off on opening presents and get to Bear early because there’s no better gift than the gift of shred.  Don’t miss night session at Snow Summit tonight, where you’ll find 25 features on Upper Westridge and Zzyzx. New Snow at Bear!

Yesterday’s storm dropped 2 inches of fresh snow and we’ve been making snow since early last night. Today’s forecast is bluebird and we have a packed powder surface so be sure to get here early for the most fun! Chair 9 is open accessing Park Run top-to-bottom, Expressway and The Gulch, Chair 5 is open accessing Central Park, and the beginner lifts Chairs 6 and 7 are open accessing Easy Street and Inspiration. Be sure to check HERE for current road conditions before heading up
