Sunny skies are in the forecast through the rest of the week and weekend! The park is on point and we have a mostly machine groomed packed powder surface today. Chair 4 is temporarily closed for maintenance but Chair 8 is open accessing Geronimo if you’re looking for some steeps

Wednesday in the Park
Enjoy sunny skies, highs around 40 and excellent midwinter conditions all week long at Snow Summit! Friday’s snow storm dropped 18 inches of snow, with an additional 2 inches Friday night and 2-4 more inches on Sunday night, bringing our weekend storm total to 24 inches! We’ve also been making snow the past few nights and have a packed powder surface today.

Excellent Midwinter Conditions
Yesterdays 18 inches of fresh snow is making for a great powder day! The clouds cleared up this morning making room for blue skies and a high of 31. Tonight’s low will be around 16 so bundle up for night session! Night Session will be held at Snow Summit from 3pm- 9:30pm and half-night from 7-9:30pm. This is the perfect opportunity to take some additional runs on the best new snow of the season! All 3 roads to Big Bear are open with chains required on all vehicles except those with 4WD and AWD with snow tires.

Update
Enjoy one more sunny day on the slopes because winter weather is expected to return by late tonight! Snow showers are in the forecast and expected to last through tomorrow and into Saturday morning.

Winter Weather to Return
Temperatures dropped yesterday bringing 3 inches of new snow and a great snowmaking run lasting 36 hours! More snow means more park changes on there way! Central Park is on point right now with a slope-style course type setup that has a skate style down-bar, to road gap, into a jump line! It also has a big wall ride, some beginner/ intermediate jumps and rails, and both halfpipes! The forecast for the rest of the week shows sunny skies and mild temperatures making for great shred weather! We had a great snowmaking run lasting 36 hours! Combined with a few inches of natural snow, we are able to provide the most snow, best coverage and best surface conditions in Southern California.

Great Snowmaking
With the recent snowfall and cooling trend, Bear Mountain is now 100{86a76636585b48f02440ccb40b57522402481bd6218148effe1f42093324df81} open with excellent coverage! Making for the best conditions of the season! So Cal’s Only Superpipe opened this week so if you’re heading up be sure to check it out. We have feature changes coming this week to an already fully loaded park! The Analog UFO has been moved up on to the hill, as well as the Bat-Wing and the Wedding Cake features being added to the gulch. The Street Scene and Red Bull Plaza are a dream come to for the urban style riders out there
