This is it, welcome to Bear Mountain for another year of the Transworld TransAm as the top snowboarders from all over the country compete for the 2015 Finals: the Superbowl of amateur snowboarding competitions. It’s certainly been a journey for these riders, winning their local contests that lead to traveling hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of miles to get to Big Bear. The much anticipated competition will not only crown a winner but it is also how riders get name recognition as they further their career in the sport.

We had a great snowmaking run lasting 36 hours! Combined with a few inches of natural snow, we are able to provide the most snow, best coverage and best surface conditions in Southern California.

3 Inches of Fresh Snow Yesterday

Temperatures dropped yesterday bringing 3 inches of new snow and a great snowmaking run lasting 36 hours! More snow means more park changes on there way! Central Park is on point right now with a slope-style course type setup that has a skate style down-bar, to road gap, into a jump line! It also has a big wall ride, some beginner/ intermediate jumps and rails, and both halfpipes! The forecast for the rest of the week shows sunny skies and mild temperatures making for great shred weather! Bear Mtn is Closed – Snow Summit is OPEN

Thanksgiving at Bear!

Happy Thanksgiving! We’ve got a special treat for you today- We’ve added 3 new jibs on Park Run and also opened up Rips! It’s been a fun past few days and we know the rest of the weekend is going to be just as great. We can’t think of a better way to spend Thanksgiving than lapping 9 all day. Today’s surface in machine groomed hard pack and the coverage is very good. If you’re planning on coming for the holiday weekend, make sure to reserve your ticket ahead of time
