We sure will. Summit and Bear open at 8:30 am today, with ticket windows and rentals opening at 8 am. We have a 10-20″ base of fresh, machine-groomed packed powder on Miracle Mile, Summit Run (top) and the Beginner’s Area.

The Fun Continues Tomorrow…
We had a blast today making some turns! We were able to reopen Chair 9 for top to bottom terrain due to the almost foot of the fresh natural snow we received yesterday and also thanks to our world class snowmaking system! Tomorrow is on point to open more terrain as we have already kicked on the snow guns now that the temperatures are dropping! Tomorrow we will have beginner terrain as we plan to open Chair 7 and that also means that we will be starting to host lessons here at our resort! It’s looking like this cold weather plans to stick around for awhile so we expect to be able to open more and more terrain as we lead up to Christmas! So if you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, make your plans to come up to Big Bear for the holidays! We have the best conditions of the season!
Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are the ONLY SoCal resorts open for you to enjoy all the fresh snow! We got 8-11″ yesterday and have been making snow since about 10 pm last night. Our snowmakers are working very hard to get more runs open and features built. We are hoping to have Summit Run and Westridge open VERY SOON.

What a pleasant surprise this storm has brought! We’re now at 8-11 inches of natural snowfall and we’re ready to start snowmaking as soon as we get a chance! Be sure to join us this weekend and if you’re traveling through the mountain area you’ll want to keep up with our Snow Report for all the latest updates including road conditions! Opens Friday But You Can Ride Before Friday
Bear opens this Friday, November 28th! The weather has been perfect for making real snow and we’ve set up some features. If you wanna ride before Friday, come to our other resort as Snow Summit opens tomorrow, November 26th. What!
