Winter is Just Around the Corner

Now that the Bike Park is officially closed for the summer season we can really start getting excited for the winter season. Just like Bear Mountain we’re ready to make snow! The snow guns are up on the hill ready to go, now we just need Mother Nature to cooperate and bring us some cold dry air! At this point Snow Summit and Bear Mountain have no set opening date. As soon as we have an opening date we will have it posted here on the website as well as all our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@Snow_Summit)

Winter Sneak Peek

Wednesday nights’s snow storm was just a tease of what’s to come this winter. We received 4 inches of snow over night and while it unfortunately is not enough to allow us to open the slopes for the winter could it possible be a sign that winter is coming early

Skiing and snowboarding is right around the corner! We haven’t set an opening date for winter 2012-13, but if the forecast holds true, we may see colder temps and even a chance of snow by this weekend. We’re headed in the right direction with the potential for snowmaking later in the week and we hope you’re as excited as we are to hit the slopes! Winter is Coming!

This week’s weather is starting to hint towards winter, with cooler temps and a chance of SNOW on Friday! If the forecast holds true, we may even be able to start snowmaking this week! We still haven’t set an opening date, but continue to check back as temperatures drop and snowmaking begins for winter season info. Winter 2011-12 Opening Day?

Snow season is just around the corner!  We’re experiencing cold overnight temps, but the days are still too warm for snowmaking.  We still haven’t set an opening date, but we’ll be testing the snowmaking lines soon and we’ll keep you posted as we get more info.  Our ski and snowboard season usually starts mid November and lasts all the way into April so go ahead and start counting down the days until opening day.
