It’s only the 3rd day of the season and we’ve got multiple runs and lifts open AND 3″ of fresh snow! Today is shaping up to be a GORGEOUS bluebird day with clear blue skies! Chairs 1, 2, 3 and 8 providing access to Miracle Mile & Summit Run from top to bottom, Upper Westridge, ZZYZX, Ego Trip and the Bear Bottom beginners area. Note that at this time Westridge and ZZYZX do not have a full park set-up.

Weather is still cold and we have been making snow around the clock since late Tuesday night. Today we are opening Inspiration for beginners and plan to open even more lifts and runs tomorrow.

Opening Day is TOMORROW and we couldn’t be more excited! Mother Nature finally brought us the cooler (actually it’s just plain cold!) temperatures that we needed to make snow and our snowmakers wasted no time taking advantage of that! We’ve had our snow guns blowing for over 24 hours and we’re ready for tomorrow, are you??

The Wait is Almost Over
Today is opening day at Bear Mountain! Chair 9 will be open top to bottom with 4 snow features and 23 jibs. The trails will include Upper Park Run, Expressway, The Gulch, and Lower Park Run. Be aware that the runs off Chair 9 provide intermediate to advanced terrain and features.

This weekend will be the last weekend for hiking and mountain biking at Snow Summit. Make your plans now to come up and enjoy the trails one last time before we close down and skiers and snowboarders take over the slopes. Hours for this weekend are 9am-4pm both Saturday and Sunday November 9th and 10th

Last Weekend for Mountain Biking
Winter is moving in on Big Bear Valley! Our most recent storm left us with a few inches of snowy goodness but its not quite enough for us to open for the season. There are more storms on the horizon and hopefully that means snow-making weather will be here before we know it! Typically we open mid-late November depending on weather and conditions. Once we are open for skiing and snowboarding we will open our reservations lines so you can ensure your spot on the snow for the holiday season.
