For those of you who made it past day one, we are onto day two! Looking at the park, it’s hard to believe we have only been open for one day. Park Run is stacked with jibs and the vibe is kicking like we didn’t even have a summer. It’s funny how quickly we go from lounging around the house to full force snowboard mode, but that’s what makes these days so special. It feels good to be back and actually do what we’ve been dreaming about for the past six months. Not to mention doing it all in a TOP to BOTTOM park on opening week! Park staff has us all geeked up; if this is what it’s like the first couple days, imagine what it will be like in a month or even a few weeks! They have a collaboration of great minds on Park Staff, and the anticipation of their plans is hardly BEARable

Today is Opening Day!

It’s finally here!  Snow Summit opens today with plenty of runs to keep you skiing and riding all day long!  Start your day off on Chair 1, which accesses Miracle Mile top-to-bottom .  Then head over to Chair 2 to take some laps on Upper Summit Run or Chair 3 to access Upper Westridge, Zzyzx and Ego Trip .  Chair 8 is also open, accessing the Bear Bottom Beginner Area .  More lifts and runs will open as snowmaking continues. Chair 9/Park Run is open top-to-bottom at Bear Mountain.  Put your Dual Mountain lift ticket to use and hop on the Inter-Resort Shuttle to take advantage of TWO resorts for the price of one lift ticket.   In honor of Veterans Day, we are offering FREE lift tickets on Friday for all active duty and retired military veterans with proper ID.  Thanks for all your dedication! Opening Day is Tomorrow!

This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for… Snow Summit will open for the 2011-12 ski and snowboard season tomorrow Thursday, November 10th. We’re taking advantage of this cold spell and pounding out the snowmaking. With nearly full-width runs  and quality snow, opening day is sure to be a good time! The first chairs of the season will be Chair 1 accessing Miracle Mile, Chair 8 which accesses Bear Bottom Beginner Area, Chair 2 accessing Upper Summit Run and Chair 3 serving Upper Westridge, ZZYZX and Ego Trip

Yep, Opening Day is tomorrow my friends! We can finally put the summer behind us and prepare ourselves for the best season our lives! We’re up here feeling like a bunch of little kids on Christmas Eve; just waiting for the clock to strike the A.M.

Wednesday, November 9th is Opening Day!

It’s finally here!  An early season storm passed through last weekend and left conditions just right to pump out tons of snow.  We’re working around the clock to make sure there will be a deep base and quality snow for you to enjoy, so join us this Wednesday, November 9th, for opening day!  Chair 9 accessing Park Run will be open top-to-bottom and stacked with features.  So get your boards tuned up and ready to go, we can’t wait to see you this week! Put your Dual Mountain lift ticket to use and hit up Snow Summit’s opening day on Thursday, November 10th.  Chair 1 accessing Miracle Mile top-to-bottom and Chair 8 for beginners accessing Bear Bottom will be open. All three roads to Big Bear are OPEN with no chains required!

Opening Day Around the Corner

Our goal is to open Snow Summit for the winter season later in the week. As always we want to make sure we have a great snowbase and quality snow for you to enjoy, and we will make snow at every opportunity to make that happen. Miracle Mile and Bear Bottom Beginner runs will be the first to open.
