Snowmaking Continues

This current storm system brought with us some seriously chilly temperatures and while that is AWESOME for snowmaking its pretty cold up on the mountain. Today’s high will be around 32 degrees so layer up and grab a bloody mary at the Beach Bar to keep warm! If these temperatures continue we will be able to keep making snow and will be able to open even more runs soon! This weekend we will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center for Ski Dazzle. We will have season passes on sale with a show special of $30 off plus a FREE buddy ticket to bring a friend along

Winter Season Coming Soon!

At this point Snow Summit and Bear Mountain have no set opening date. Both resorts are ready to make snow and just need a little cooperation from Mother Nature to cool things off a bit

Snow Summit Received 1-3 inches of Snow

Last night’s quick snow storm left us with 1-3 inches of new snow on the ground.  The forecast for the rest of the week looks like it is going to warm back up to the 60′s during the daytime.  Although mother nature seems to be playing games with us it is still not enough snow to give us a good kick start to the season, but it sure is getting us really excited about the upcoming winter.

Open for Mountain Biking and Hiking

The Snow Summit Bike Park and Scenic Sky Chair is now open! We will be open this weekend and next.  Following the Sunday the 27th we will be open on a weekend by weekend basis and will determine a closing date depending on weather and conditions. Sky Chair and Bike Park Hours: Saturdays 9am-5pm and Sundays 9am-4pm.

The Scenic Sky Chair and Mountain Bike Park will be open this upcoming weekend. The weather is cool and the dirt is so fun right now, so make plans to visit Snow Summit before the winter season begins! The 20th will be last day to rent bikes here at Snow Summit

Wednesday nights snow storm brought us a sneak peak of what we are in for this winter! Mountain Bikers and hikers need not worry, while we did receive 4 inches of snow this will not effect the Bike Park and Scenic Sky Chair this weekend! We will be open from 9am- 5pm tomorrow and 9am-4pm Sunday.

Spring Fever!

If you like nice weather and good snow, then Snow Summit is the place to be because we’ve got plenty of both! Come up this weekend and enjoy more fun in the sun and take advantage of our great spring conditions. Our coverage is very good, nearly every run is open, and we have the deepest snow pack in SoCal. Springtime in Big Bear is all about the fun, laid-back vibe, which you’ll get everywhere here from the runs to the deck at the Slopeside Pub.  If you want to call it a day early and just enjoy some après-ski drinks, then turn in your lift ticket by 1pm to get a voucher for up to $15 to put towards your next lift ticket with our Half-Day Getaway.
