With all the water we’ve been pumping from Big Bear Lake, we’re able to provide the most open terrain, most lifts and runs, and with excellent midwinter packed powder conditions! The park is in the best shape it’s been all season and it’s only getting better. The halfpipe is scheduled to open soon and we have more than eighty terrain park features. You can also expect a new park build coming soon too! Holiday night sessions have been extended at Snow Summit, so you can ski oand ride under the lights every night through January 5th!

Park Staff has been changing the park almost nightly! Our new park count is 41 jibs and 26 snow features with an array of boxes, rails, jumps, and hips for all skill levels beginner to expert. We have the corrugated tube set up in an all new location plus the Seth-asaurus, Simon Flat-Down box, and the Van all set up! The Red Bull Plaza is becoming a favorite for both riders and spectators. Cooler temps have been allowing a lot of snow making! Chair 3 is open today accessing Upper Gambler and Street Scene.

This Week at Bear

December 10, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

The Park setup is looking good and this week’s weather forecast looks encouraging  for snowmaking!  There is even a possibility of a little natural snowfall later in the week. We will focus making snow on Upper Park Run, Park Face and the beginner runs, for now. As snowmaking continues then even more runs will open.
