Snow Summit is now 100{86a76636585b48f02440ccb40b57522402481bd6218148effe1f42093324df81} open with something for everyone, including steeps, intermediate runs and a park stacked with 28 jibs and 38 snow features! The recent cool weather has allowed for great overnight snowmaking and has helped keep our snow surface nice. With such excellent snow conditions right here in your local mountains, you won’t need to travel far for an amazing time on the slopes! We have one more day of cool temps with today’s high 34 degrees. We’re expecting warmer temps and more sunny skies all week long and through the weekend! All three roads are Open to Big Bear! At this time there are chain requirements on Highway 330, 38 and 18 however we do expect restrictions to be lifted later this morning. Today there is a slight chance of snowfall in the morning then clearing up to be partly sunny with a high of 30

Santa’s big day may be over but we still have gifts for you. It’s snowing and so far we have received a couple inches of fresh snow and more is expected throughout the day! Today Chair 4 opens accessing Exhibition! A perfect lift to catch shorter lines and fun groomers! You can also expect changes coming to the park over the next few days.

We receieved 10-12 inches of snowfall the past few days and have been making snow around the clock. The park is getting fueled up and now has 10 snow features and 31 jibs! Chair 9 is open with features from top-to-bottom including a two down bar jib-line, top jump, the Dog-House and more!  Chair 1 accessing Expressway, The Gulch and Lower Park Run is also open as well as Chairs 6 & 7  serving Inspiration Run and lowere Easy Street are open and the Moving Carpet is open for first timers.

Re-Opening Saturday!

Chair 1 accessing Miracle Mile and Chair 8 accessing Bear Bottom beginner area are opening tomorrow! The snowmaking is pretty awesome right now and it looks like we have a strong weekend to continue snowmaking so more lifts and runs will open soon. With the current forecast, we expect to reopen Snow Summit as early as this weekend. We’re looking forward to getting back on track if the forecast holds true, with some good snowmaking and a chance of natural snow.
