With a brief breather in our competition streak, Park Staff was able to get their creativity flowing on Chair 9! We have some wild new features most of which include multiple jibs and possibilities. The SUV is set with an angle into the Van for all sorts of options. The Tank from Trans AM has transition all around it with a Double-Corrugated slide and Pole Jam transfer on to it.

Mid-week on the mountain is the best! Little-to-no lift lines, the best conditions in SoCal, blue skies and just a short drive away Snow Summit is super fun right now! The Screamin’ Deal Season Pass Sale is on now! Passes are valid for the rest of the 2012-13 season and are the best prices of the year! New operating hours in effect through the rest of the season. Weekdays Snow Summit will be open from 9:00am- 4:00pm and 8:30-5:00pm on weekends

Mid-week Paradise
After Friday’s 12-14 inches of fresh snow, we’re ready for another great day at Bear! Temps are a little warmer today with a high of 45, making for great shred weather. All roads are open and clear, the sun is out and the park is stacked.

This weekend we hosted the largest rail jam in the world with the all-ski event War Of Rails. Our park staff went above and beyond with the massive set up and they were able to maintain the course throughout the contest so the skiers could continue to push themselves. However now it’s Monday and that means this weekend we will be hosting the Transworld Trans AM snowboard rail jam.

Today War Of Rails was nothing short of spectacular, and the best is yet to come! We saw the amateurs charging the mind blowing course and the top 20 will move on to tomorrows competition to go against top professionals from all over the world! War Of Rails Day One!
War Of Rails is a ski event put on by local professional skier Craig Coker and starts today! The event is on its 4th annual year and has continued to grow in every way! The event is recognized in the ski industry by top magazines like Freeskier as a don’t-miss event! The best rail riders on earth travel from all over the world to compete for the $30,ooo purse. From underground street shredders to X-Games athletes, this event attracts them all! One of the best parts about this contest, it is spectacular to watch! You see all the action right from the comforts of our 13,000 square foott Sundeck and Beach Bar! We will be offering event drink specials all weekend including the crowd favorite from last year, Rum & Coker! Come catch some rays, takes some runs, grab a drink, and enjoy the show! War Of Rails Begins!
The sun is out and the snow is good! With nothing but clear blue skies in the forecast, it’s shaping up to be another fun week at Snow Summit. We have 100{86a76636585b48f02440ccb40b57522402481bd6218148effe1f42093324df81} of our terrain open, and our interconnecting runs mean you can spend an entire day on the slopes without ever having to return to the base area. Remember that there are only three night sessions left of the season: Friday March 1st, Saturday March 2nd and Saturday March 9th.

Monday Funday!
Yesterday’s powder day was nothing short of amazing and today looks to be just as fun! We received 14-16 inches of fresh powder yesterday and today’s cold temps will help keep the new snow prime. With mostly sunny skies and a packed powder surface, we’re looking forward to the best skiing and riding conditions of the season!
