Powder, Freshies, First Tracks…

March 18, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

It’s a March miracle! This storm brought 20 to 24 inches of new snow and the snow is expected to continue throughout the day. It’s a beautiful scene outside today; the mountain is caked with powder, the town is glistening in white, and spirits are at an ultimate high

Happy Friday!

March 2, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

What an amazing week it’s been! We got to take turns in 10-14 inches of fresh powder on Tuesday and we enjoyed amazing packed powder conditions the past couple days. Today is expected to be just as great, with beautiful blue skies lasting through the weekend. There’s plenty of snow and even more fun for all, so if you haven’t gotten your skiing or riding fix yet this season, now is definitely the time.

Happy Leap Day!

February 29, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

The snow conditions are the best this season! In addition to the 10-14 inches of fresh powder from yesterday, we also made snow last night. Today’s packed powder runs should be a definite must on your To-Do list but if you can’t make it today, this weekend is looking really good too and there’s plenty of snow and open runs to go around. Enjoy this extra day of skiing and boarding.

Return to Winter

February 14, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

Old Man Winter stopped by yesterday, bringing us 2-3 inches of natural snow .  Temps were cool enough for us to make plenty of snow last night and we plan to make even more tonight.  To top it all off, we’re expecting another storm to roll through tomorrow, bringing us even more of the good stuff. The storm is clearing today long enough for you to enjoy the partly sunny skies and a packed powder to powder snow surface.

Sunday’s Outlook

January 22, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

Welcome back sun! Well, not for too long… The forecast is calling for sunny skies today, but we’re expecting snow tomorrow! We never know what is actually going to happen, but the National Weather Service is claiming a good chance of snow this Monday with several inches accumulation possible . Let’s not jinx it, but we’ll hope for the best! As for today, mostly sunny with a high of 46. We were able to make snow last night so the surface should be pretty nice today, ranging from machine groomed hard pack to packed powder.  Have fun out there! Be sure to check out this week’s Sunday in the Park episode on TWSnow.com

More SNOWmaking!

January 9, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

With such a significant drop in temps from last week, we’re taking advantage of the snowmaking window and pumping it out at every opportunity.  We kept it on all night last night and will turn it back on as soon as conditions are just right.  Today we’re looking at sunny skies again with a high of only 52 and a surface that ranges from machine groomed packed powder to hard pack.

SNOWmaking!

January 9, 2012 By Bear Bear Ski and Board Rentals

Today we expect another refreshing break from last week’s warm weather with a high of only 52.  We’re taking advantage of the cool, dry conditions and pumping out snow at every opportunity.  Snowmaking started up Saturday night and we kept it on around-the-clock until early this morning.  Enjoy sunny skies through the rest of the week with a surface that ranges from machine groomed packed powder to hard pack.  Regular season rates are in effect.
