Today is opening day at Bear Mountain! Chair 9 will be open top to bottom with 4 snow features and 23 jibs. The trails will include Upper Park Run, Expressway, The Gulch, and Lower Park Run. Be aware that the runs off Chair 9 provide intermediate to advanced terrain and features.

New Lifts Open Today
Our resorts have had several inches of fresh snow this week and it snowed another 2 inches last night and more light snowfall is in today’s forecast. Come enjoy the best snow conditions this holiday season right here in your back yard! Bear and Summit now have 25 lifts available, nearly every run open and 150 park features! After a good long day at Bear hit Westridge at Snow Summit for night session tonight from 3pm-9:30pm. They do a fresh evening groom too!

Snow Summit and Bear Mountain currently have 21 lifts available, the most open terrain in SoCal and over 100 park features. Westridge is undergoing a full park set-up and is expected to open Friday along with The Wall and Olympic. We expect to have all lifts operable and most runs open by this weekend including Geronimo at Bear Mountain! Big Bear Lake received 4 inches of new snow yesterday and nothin’ rings in the holidays like packed powder snow conditions. Night session is scheduled for Friday and Saturday night beginning at 3pm.

Nearly All Runs Open This Weekend
Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are open for skiing and snowboarding with up to 7 lifts available, 47 jibs and jumps, and several of our most favorite runs. We’re in great shape with a one to two foot base and the snow coverage is very good. Clear blue skies are forecast through Wednesday with a slight chance of snow on Thursday into Friday then the weather clears up again for another sunny weekend. Two Mountains, One Lift Ticket
