The snow pants might feel a little tighter this morning but don’t let that stop you from hitting the slopes on what looks to be a beautiful day! Today also marks the first day of riding at Bear Mountain ! Conditions as we open this morning will be similar to what we found yesterday which is a machine groomed surface of hard packed snow which will soften quickly as the day rolls on.

What does it mean to be “ Bear Built “? It means that here at Bear Mountain we hold ourselves to a higher standard, and although it took us only a few more days to prep the park it will be well worth the wait.

Happy Thanksgiving and Welcome Back to Opening Weekend at Snow Summit Resort!
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us in the Big Bear Mountain Resorts family! We wish you a great day and hope it includes at least a few traditional laps at Snow Summit today! Skiing and riding resumes this morning by way of Chair 1 servicing the summit with top-to-bottom skiing and riding via Miracle Mile .

Opens Friday But You Can Ride Before Friday
Bear opens this Friday, November 28th! The weather has been perfect for making real snow and we’ve set up some features. If you wanna ride before Friday, come to our other resort as Snow Summit opens tomorrow, November 26th. What!

Have you heard? Friday is the word……OPENING DAY AT BEAR MOUNTAIN!
It’s Go Time! Bear Mountain will be OPEN for skiing and riding next weekend! Bear will spin the lifts for the public starting at 8:30 am, Friday the 28th of November! We will operate from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Fri, Sat and Sunday ! Just can’t wait until Friday? Snow Summit will be opening for the season on Wednesday with top to bottom skiing and riding as well as terrain for all ability levels including terrain features . While Snow Summit Resort will stay open through the week, Bear Mountain will re-open again Saturday and Sunday the 6th and 7th of December and open for daily operation on Friday, December 12th .

Here Is the Word You Have Been Waiting For…
Snow Summit Resort will OPEN Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 8:30 am!!! Snow Summit will be open and ready for skiers and riders on Wednesday morning. Chair 1 will be offering skiing and riding from the summit to the base area and Chair 2 which services our beginner area will also be open. All Ski/Snowboard School programs will be offered and we will begin taking reservations for these products on Monday
