Chair 9 accessing Cruiser and the Sundown Family Fun Zone is now open at Snow Summit!  There are a total 16 jibs and 4 snow features , including skill builder features, on Upper Westridge and Zzyxz.  Chair 7 and the east side of the mountain is also open, accessing Log Chute top-to-bottom, Lower Timber Ridge and 7-Down!  We’ve got sunny skies, very good coverage, and the most open terrain in Southern California. There are now 16 available lifts available at both resorts and we will open even more  runs and lifts with continued snowmaking

Red Bull Plaza Open at Week’s End.

The Red Bull Plaza will be open to the public at week’s end. We’ve had the James Haunt crew working on the art work the last couple days and it’s really starting to look like a real plaza

Chair 9 is now open!

Chair 9 accessing Cruiser and the Sundown Family Fun Zone opens today at Snow Summit!  Chair 7 accessing Log Chute top-to-bottom, Lower Timber Ridge and 7-Down is also open, and with around-the-clock snowmaking, we’ll  be opening even more lifts and runs soon!  We’ve got sunny skies, very good coverage, and the most open terrain in Southern California. There are now 11 lifts available at both resorts and we will open even more with continued snowmaking. Today’s forecast is 39 degrees and sunny.  Although high wind warnings are in effect today, we are not typically affected as we are not in canyons or passes where the strongest winds occur.

Most Open Terrain in Southern California

What a great weekend so far!  With our around-the-clock snowmaking and packed powder conditions, we’re looking forward to another great day in the People’s Park.  Besides Park Run’s 35 jibs and 12 snow features, make sure to check out the new Jib Pipe on Chair 5 that opened yesterday .  Chair 7 at Snow Summit opens today, bringing our total open lifts to 11, accessing the most open terrain in Southern California. Make sure to bundle up!  Today’s forecast is 36 and sunny.  Have fun out there!

Chair 7 accessing Upper Log Chute, Lower Tiber Ridge and 7-Down opens today! We’ve been making snow around the clock and we’ll continue to do so at every opportunity.  Come spend Sunday on the snow with packed powder conditions, very good coverage , and the  most open terrain in Southern California.  We have 11 lifts now open at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, and will open even more with continued snowmaking. Today’s forecast is 36 degrees and sunny.  Bundle up and have fun out there!

More Runs and Lifts

14-16 inches of new snow yesterday, around-the-clock snowmaking , packed powder  conditions, sunny skies and MORE RUNS OPEN . Snow Summit and Bear Mountain now have 9 open lifts and many of your favorite runs with even more scheduled for tomorrow at Snow Summit; Chair 7 accessing Upper Log Chute, Lower Timber Ridge and 7-Down is expected to open Sunday. This weekend is cold with the highs around  30 degrees and sunny so dress in layers and have a good time.
