The weekend we have been waiting for!!! The forecast is calling for a wonderful weekend of snow up here in Big Bear with 1 to 2 feet of fresh powder possible. The snow is expected to arrive late Friday night and continue throughout the weekend for a couple days of wintery goodness

Excellent snow coverage, nearly every single run open and clear blue skies for days what else can you ask for? At Snow Summit and Bear Mountain you get two resorts with one lift ticket an we’re just a tank of gas way round trip. NOTE: Weekend opening times have been changed to 8:30am.

Morning folks! Happy Saturday to all our weekend warriors out there. It’s time to forget about everything and just loose yourself in the great snow, great conditions, and great times; but this shouldn’t be a tough challenge with a high of 51 degrees and our excellent snow conditions

Saturday Outlook
We have another big one in store for you this weekend! You’ve had to hear about the War of Rails event that we’ve been hyping up… It’s Southern California’s biggest freestyle skiing event, and if you saw The Scene this morning, you can see why. The Am contest starts this afternoon around 12:30, and the big boy pros start putting on a show tomorrow at 11:30 am.

Another BIG Weekend!
We’re looking at another beautiful sunny day with a high of 58 degrees. Midweek is our favorite time to ride- lift lines are short and the runs aren’t too crowded. If you haven’t gotten to experience the midweek fun yet, now’s the time.

Big comp this weekend! The Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam is strolling through town this Sunday. This is always a well produced contest because Volcom does it right

Snow Summit and Bear Mountain currently have 21 lifts available, the most open terrain in SoCal and over 100 park features. Westridge is undergoing a full park set-up and is expected to open Friday along with The Wall and Olympic. We expect to have all lifts operable and most runs open by this weekend including Geronimo at Bear Mountain! Big Bear Lake received 4 inches of new snow yesterday and nothin’ rings in the holidays like packed powder snow conditions. Night session is scheduled for Friday and Saturday night beginning at 3pm.

Nearly All Runs Open This Weekend
The Red Bull Plaza will be open to the public at week’s end. We’ve had the James Haunt crew working on the art work the last couple days and it’s really starting to look like a real plaza
